“Art is not painting what you see, but what you make others see.” Edward Degas
Van Gogh once said, “It is good to love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is done well.” That pretty much sums up my motto in life - not only to love much but to love what I do. Many do not realize how cerebral art is. There's a puzzle to every painting and complex problems to solve.
I have always been fascinated by the artistic character of natural wonders: the heaven’s mysteries unfolding in a colorful display of celestial bodies; the ocean’s rhythmic waves and ever-changing colors harmonizing with the sky; the earth’s colorful patterns weaving into trees, flowers, gardens and various landscapes. Preserving this unique and stunning beauty in our universe is the driving force behind my paintbrush. I try to display this beauty in my paintings, so viewers too can feel the awe of what an amazing world we have. It is this calling that led my to leave my Pediatric ICU Nursing profession of fifteen years, to follow my true passion and paint full time.
