“Art is not painting what you see, but what you make others see.” Edward Degas

Artist Biography

Van Gogh once said, “It is good to love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is done well.”  That pretty much sums up my motto in life - not only to love much, but to love what I do and to do it to the best of my abilities.  My paintings are about our natural world and the fragile, delicate ecosystems that are impacted by human behavior.  I want to place the viewer in front of our natural wonders, so to ponder and love what is so incredible about our world.

I have always been fascinated by the artistic character of natural wonders: the heaven’s mysteries unfolding in a colorful display of celestial bodies; the ocean’s rhythmic waves and ever-changing colors harmonizing with the sky; the earth’s colorful patterns weaving into trees, flowers, and gardens in the landscape.  Preserving this unique and stunning beauty in our universe is the driving force behind my paintbrush.  I want my viewers to feel the awe of what an amazing world we have, so to know that it is theirs to cherish and care for.
