This past summer I embarked on a fun adventure of painting the waterways that flowed from my backyard. This video tells the story of the flow of water as it leaves my backyard, down the hill into a magical place in Rock Creek Park.
Beautiful Lake Needwood's history and environmental impact, and the painting created plein-air along the water's edge this past summer. My videographer caught a tree crashing down at the very end of the video just yards away from us. Crazy things happen out in the parks!
This beautiful painting created on the edge of Rock Creek in DC, just north of the National Zoo, captures a historic bridge built from local boulders at the turn of the century. Learn a little of what challenges a plein-air painter faces.
This painting is named after my dog, Rosie, who saved by life by scaring off a crazy guy who tried to attack me while painting on Roosevelt Island. She is my hero!
Here in Maryland we treasure our Chesapeake Bay. Find out what inspired this painting and how the bay and our oysters are affected by what we all do upstream.
Close to where the Potomac flows into the Chesapeake Bay, there is a not-so-little waterway called St Inigoes Creek. Pat Elder, an investigative reporter, is interviewed about his discoveries of what else contaminates our local waters.
