Storm Drain Mural Project

Montgomery Parks Foundation's Storm Drain Article

Ruby is the guardian of the waterways in Long Branch Park, 2021. The first mural to start the partnership between Pamela Gordimer and Montgomery Parks

The painting "Ruby Quest" was used as inspiration for this mural.

I received a grant from Montgomery Parks Foundation and Keep Maryland Beautiful to design and help paint four more storm drains in 2022.

"Crabs Toil Deep in the Bay" is painted at New Hampshire Estates Elementary School. Spring, 2022

    1/4

Maryland blue crabs and Poseidon Clean Up the bay and waterways from New Hampshire Estates Elementary.

"Crabs Toil Deep in the Bay" is the painting created to inspire this storm drain mural. The bay's sea grasses and crab population are impacted by the litter that washes down these drains.

The eagles become the guardians of the Meadowside Nature Center waterways

"Spoon Fed" is a painting about a special place. The inspiration for the mural came from watching eagles raise their babies this past spring at Meadowside Park.

Meadowside critters join the eagles to clean up their world to protect the waterways.

"Cleaning Up the Hollow" was created to inspire the mural painters at Meadowside. These critters and wildflowers are commonly seen at the park.

Ruby and Athena are working hard to protect Spencerville Park

"Cleaning Up Ruby's World" is the painting created to inspire this mural. These two girls have a combined ten arms of girl power to pull it off!!
